Now in its third year – and run in association with Google Cloud and the Commonwealth Bank – the Best Managed Companies program identifies and celebrates privately-owned and managed companies across Australia that set the highest standards of business performance, and shines a light on the power of private businesses as innovators and major contributors to Australia’s economy.
The program’s judges challenged and evaluated the strengths of the applicants across four key pillars: strategy; culture and commitment; capabilities and innovation; and governance and financials.
Simon Xistouris, CEO of AC3 said: “We’re delighted to be named among Deloitte Australia’s 2022 Best Managed private Companies.
“We have built a culture of continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to “better it” which is a core value here at AC3. Having a robust operating model helps us to focus on the things that matter most, our people and customers. Being a private company can make it challenging to know if what you’re doing is considered good, and this process helped to validate that!
“We are honoured to have the hard work we’ve put into our strategy, systems, processes and people recognised externally by Deloitte and the Best Managed Companies judges.”
Natalie Faull, Deloitte Private partner and Best Managed Companies Asia Pacific leader, said: “Our Best Managed Companies program is about celebrating the passion, focus, dynamism. resilience and growth that typify Australia’s best private companies.
“They are often disruptors, they are significant employers, they are always looking for growth and success and they are strong supporters of their local communities.
“This year, the program has really demonstrated just how well our best managed private businesses, and that includes AC3, have emerged from the COVID pandemic as purpose-driven, disciplined organisations, innovators and industry leaders that are navigating the future with confidence.”
About the Deloitte Best Managed Companies program
Best Managed Companies was established in 1993 in Canada and has become the most significant business award of its kind. The program is active in 48 countries in the Americas, Europe and Australasia, and is launching across Africa.
The program recognises privately held companies for their organisational success and achievement and provides a distinct framework for management teams to challenge themselves and benchmark against some of the best private companies in the world.
Companies are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors, in addition to special guest judges.
Over an eight month period, winners receive coaching from leading business advisors, networking opportunities via invitations to exclusive events including premium sponsor events, and key branding and promotional opportunities.
